Sciant opened second office in Sofia

Sciant has opened its second software development center in Sofia. Its central building is already too small to hold together the increasing number of employees. This new office is the third in Bulgaria and the forth worldwide for the biggest independent software development company in Bulgaria.

Sciant's growth in Bulgaria unambiguously denies rumors in some media that the company is about to move its entire development to Ho Chi Minh. "My personal and professional position is that our office in Vietnam makes us more competitive than other outsourcing companies", Vassil Popovski said, Technical Partner at Sciant. "It is ridiculous to think that Sciant is going to move its development. I have always claimed that Sciant Vietnam is a natural and useful complement to Sciant Bulgaria and not a substitute and I firmly stay for my words".

After the opening of Sciant Varna office it will not be unexpected the company to open another one in Plovdiv. "Varna is a real challenge to us. In this city there are a lot of qualified specialists and in the same time not so many IT companies. Our idea for an office in Plovdiv could be accomplished next year at the earliest while in the same time we will further develop the Vietnamese operations. Another priority for a subsidiary is Macedonia. The country is close to Bulgaria with close traditions, culture and language. ",said Steve Keil, Sciant's CEO.
