Sciant develops communication software for autonomous underwater vehicle

A team of Sciant specialists started working on GREX project financed by European Union under Sixth Framework Programme. Together with partners from Germany, Great Britain, France, Italy and Portugal Sciant will create a system for action coordination between Autonomous Underwater Vehicles and surface vehicles which work as a group on given tasks.

Commercial companies; research institutes and universities are taking part in the consortium. Sciant's role is to create the software for the wireless and acoustic communication between the individual vehicles which should work under the dynamically changing environment.

GREX Project will be developed over a period of 3 years with a 2-month testing in the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean sea.
